Rodney Zimmerman

My journey began at UCLA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science while playing Division I basketball. The balance between elite athletics and academics instilled in me a deep respect for the discipline, resilience, and power of mindset. After a professional basketball career in the NBA and abroad, I developed a global perspective on human behavior and adaptability. With over 17 years in education as an athletic director, educator, Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) consultant, and advisor to high school and middle school students, I began designing curriculums for student athletes around the country. I formed Conditioned Minds, focused on working with college, high school and middle school athletes developing the cognitive; learning how to listen, hear, process, and analyze both inside both a sport growth mindset, intertwined with goals and leadership involvement.

I recognized early on the need for tools that bridge emotional understanding with performance support in the classroom and athletics. I began a journey of research and exploration into AI i Georgia Tech’s ATDC program, where I realized how real-time insights could help interpret emotional and behavioral outcomes through AI. This ultimately led to the creation of Assessdo.
