Research Eligibility Requirements

Affiliation with an Academic Institution

Researchers may need to be affiliated with a recognized academic institution, such as a university or research center. This affiliation might require verification through an official email address or documentation from the institution.  Assessdo targets specific types of research for use of our technology, including but not limited to, psychology; public health; Human Resources; ethics; evidence-based policing; and school improvement.

Research, Purpose & Legal Compliance

Research Purpose: The research project or study should align with the objectives or focus areas of Assessdo’s assessment tools. Clearly outlining how the tool will contribute to the research objectives is crucial.  Explain how the Assessdo tool specifically fits into the research methodology or objectives. Demonstrating a clear need for the tool and its relevance to your study is essential.  Free access to assessment tools is often provided for non-commercial purposes, primarily for academic or research-oriented use. Ensure that your intended use is aligned with non-commercial research purposes.

If your institution or research project has limited resources or a restricted budget, you have a stronger case for being granted free access. Highlighting financial constraints can strengthen your application.  Some applications might require a formal research proposal or documentation outlining the scope, objectives, and methodology of the research project where the Assessdo tool will be utilized.  If your research is focused on educational improvement, social impact, or community development, it might align well with Assessdo’s values if they prioritize such areas.  If you have prior experience using similar assessment tools or have published research that demonstrates your expertise in the field, it could strengthen your application.  If your research involves collaboration with multiple institutions or researchers, showcasing this collaboration and its potential benefits can strengthen your application.

Legal Compliance: Compliance with any legal or ethical guidelines related to research, data privacy, and usage of assessment tools is expected.

Compliance with Data Protection Regulations: Assessdo typically complies with data protection laws and regulations such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) or other regional privacy laws. This includes obtaining necessary consent for data collection and processing and implementing measures to uphold individuals’ rights regarding their data.

Regular Security Audits and Updates: Assessdo undergoes regular security audits and updates to ensure that it is equipped with the latest security measures and patches for vulnerabilities that could compromise data privacy.
