Rodney Zimmerman

My journey began at UCLA, where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science while playing Division I basketball. Balancing elite athletics and academics instilled in me a deep respect for discipline, resilience, and the power of mindset. After a professional basketball career in the NBA and abroad, I gained a global perspective on human behavior and adaptability. With over 17 years in education as an athletic director, educator, Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) consultant, and advisor to students, I designed curriculums for athletes across the country through Conditioned Minds, helping them develop cognitive skills, growth mindset, and leadership.

Recognizing the need for tools that bridge emotional understanding with performance, I explored AI at Georgia Tech’s ATDC program. This led to the creation of Assessdo , a new way to use AI that helps people grow by recognizing patterns, dissolving bias, and meeting individuals where they are—not just when convenient. More than a system, Assessdo listens before it acts, reflecting personal truths, interpreting patterns, and guiding users toward meaningful outcomes. By transforming data into understanding and momentum, it becomes a living, interactive experience that strengthens purpose, enhances connection, and fosters clarity, confidence, and fulfillment.
